LAKE COUNTY (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Lake Zurich man remains in critical condition after a motorcycle accident in Port Barrington.

Police responded to a report of reckless driving Sunday night, at about 7:26 p.m., along West Roberts Road and Center Street in Lake County.

A 2012 BMW motorcycle was driving alongside another motorcycle, traveling eastbound on Roberts Road, police said. They were weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed, illegally passing other vehicles.  The BMW cycle struck the rear of an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado.

The operator, a 41-year-old Lake Zurich man, was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the motorcycle.  Police said he has a fractured neck and sustained severe head injuries.

The driver of the other motorcycle did not stop at the crash scene.
