
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An iconic restaurant in Chicago’s West Loop was vandalized early Sunday.
Staff members at Lou Mitchell’s are literally picking up the pieces after someone smashed the diner’s glass door. It happened at around 4:30 a.m.
The 101-year-old eatery sits on West Jackson Boulevard near Jefferson Street.
An employee said a vandal threw a rock through the door. No one was injured, and nothing was taken from inside.
As police investigate, those at Lou Mitchell’s are hoping the incident was caught by surveillance video.
