(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man who allegedly shot at a Millennium Park security guard Friday night has been charged with aggravated assault and other felonies.
The assault charge is for shooting at a police officer. Chicago police said 22-year-old Jordan Jackson of the South Loop also faced gun charges for having a weapon with a defaced serial number in a park and not having a foid card.
Police said Jackson jumped a fence at Millennium Park Friday night after he refused to be checked by security and shot at an off-duty sheriff's officer who approached him.
Police also said the officer returned fire and shot Jackson in the backside. The police marine unit found the handgun in the Chicago River not far from where Jackson was arrested.
