Man charged in apparent road rage shooting on Dan Ryan that wounded 7-year-old boy

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An arrest has been made in a Chicago expressway shooting that injured a child.

Shots rang out on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 73rd street early Sunday morning. A seven-year-old boy was shot during the suspected road rage incident.

The person driving pulled over near 22nd and Michigan and called for help and the boy was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.

Fifty-four-year-old Ulyesee Burns of Calumet Park was arrested on Monday.

Illinois State Police said he's charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
