MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 33-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old woman whose body parts have been found over a period of several days.
It started with the discovery of a leg in a lakefront park. Then, more body parts were found.
While police were investigating, there was a separate missing persons investigation. A woman, identified as Sade Robinson had not been seen since April 1.
"A Milwaukee police officer who was aware of our investigation raised the possibility that the leg may be related to a missing person investigation that they were conducting," Milwaukee County Sheriff Denita Ball said.
"The leg was amputated from the hip."
A man identified as Maxwell Anderson has been charged with murder and mutilating a corpse.
"The allegations in the complaint are abhorrent," said Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Ian Vance- Curzan.

"It's the highest level of violence imaginable."
Surveillance video from a restaurant showed Anderson and Robinson sitting together at the bar on the evening of April 1. They had been on a first date.
Robinson's burned car was found the next morning. Then people started finding body parts in different places.
Ball said: "At this point in time, we don't believe there are any other victims out there."
Anderson was ordered held on a $5 million bond. A preliminary examination is set for April 22.
