ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An autopsy is scheduled for today for a Chicago man who died after a shooting at an Arlington Heights apartment complex Sunday.
Police said the woman who called them at around 1:40 p.m. to say a man had been shot inside her apartment had an order of protection against him.
When officers arrived at the Arbor Lakes Apartment Complex, they found the man inside the building near a back door as well as the woman and another person who confessed to the shooting outside.
Police said paramedics treated the man,but the 33-year-old died at the scene. The department initially detained the woman and the shooter as part of their investigation that is focusing on the past relationship between the woman and the man who died.
The Major Case Assistance Team is helping with the investigation.
