CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night that left one man dead and another fighting for his life in Andersonville on the North Side.
Police said when officers responded to the area of Balmoral and Ashland at about 9:15 p.m. they found a 26-year-old man sitting in the street with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and neck.
He told officers his car was in the alley. There, they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the head. He died at the scene.
40th Ward Alderman Andre Vasquez said no one called 911 to report shots fired so he believes the shooting may have happened somewhere else before the driver crashed into a garage. There were no calls or reports of shots fired in that area.
