Man killed in Gage Park hit-and-run

The man, 22, was crossing the street when he was hit by a car, according to Chicago police.

A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Gage Park early Saturday, police said.

The man, 22, was in the crosswalk in the 5400 block of South Kedzie Avenue around 3:20 a.m. when a gray sedan disregarded a traffic signal and drove through the intersection, according to Chicago police. The car struck the man and sped away.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one is in custody and detectives are investigating.
