A Chicago man is searching for his beloved miniature Golden Doodle, after the dog was taken from an SUV downtown.

Two-year-old Cooper went missing as owner Rylee Parker was validating parking inside the Hyatt Regency in the Loop on Sunday night.

Parker says the hotel would not allow him to bring the dog inside, so he left Cooper in his SUV.

He returned less than 15-minutes later to find his SUV had been ransacked. Cooper was nowhere to be found.

"I start running around the street calling his name, thinking he got out, because I already know someone broke into my car," Parker said.

He spent the night looking for Cooper, even searching nearby Millennium Park with no luck.

Parker filed a police report and has posted a plea to Facebook, calling the dog his child.

"I cannot lose him," the post reads, "they can have everything I own and whatever money they want I need cooper back!!!"

Cooper has golden fur with white on his nose, chin and chest. Parker says the dog's back right foot is also shaved.
