
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A man faces a sexual assault charges after he is alleged to have inappropriately grabbed a 14-year-old girl outside her downtown high school Friday morning.
Cook County prosecutors said 34-year-old Mario Campos came up from behind the girl at around 8 a.m. while she was steps away from her school, Jones College Preparatory High School, located at State and Balbo, stuck his hand between her legs, through her leggings, and touched her private parts. He then ran away once she turned around, prosecutors alleged.
The girl along with another student who witnessed the attack immediately informed the school and provided a description of the suspect. Once the CPD were contacted by Jones College Prep, police used school surveillance video to identify Campos. He was found around 9 a.m. on Dearborn near Harrison, prosecutors said.

Cook County Prosecutors have charged Campos with criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 17-years-old.
Presiding Judge Maryam Ahmad ruled Campos must provide a payment of $15,000 toward bail in order to be released on electronic monitoring.
On Saturday, the acting administrator at Jones College Prep, Arthur Slater, sent an email to parents, alerting them of the incident. He promised the school will increase security.
