LIBERTYVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Lake County Sheriff's Police are searching for the person who shot a man during a road rage incident in Libertyville Tuesday night.
The Lake County Sheriff's Police said a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg by another motorist around Route 137 and Milwaukee Avenue. The victim from Cicero told police he might have cut off the other motorist and that the other motorist then drove alongside him westbound on Route 137 and fired at least one shot.
The victim pulled into a gas station and called police who put a tourniquet on his leg before the paramedics arrived. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are reviewing video in the area, and, if they have pictures or descriptions of the gunman and his vehicle, they plan to make it public.
