CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An armed street robbery in the West Ridge neighborhood Thursday night left a 24-year-old man wounded.
It happened at about 9 p.m. near Touhy and Ridge.
Chicago Police said the man was walking with a woman when they were approached by someone only described as "an armed male" who demanded their property.
The man who was shot was wounded in the hand while trying to take the gun, according to police. He was treated at Swedish Covenant.
The robber got away with their wallets.
