CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A 62-year-old man was wounded in a shooting during an armed robbery Sunday evening on Chicago’s Far South Side, police said.
The man was sitting inside a parked vehicle around 6:24 p.m. near 100th Street and Avenue M in the East Side neighborhood when three male suspects approached on foot.
The suspects, who were armed with firearms, took property from the victim. During the robbery, one of the suspects fired shots in the victim’s direction, striking him in the left leg, police said.
The suspects fled west on foot after the shooting.
The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.
Area Two detectives are investigating. No arrests have been announced.
