
GLENVIEW (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - An employee at a north suburban grocery store has been charged with firing his gun at a coworker inside the store.
31-year-old Anthony Reschke has been charged with attempted first degree murder, according to the Glenview Police Department.
Reschke, an employee at the Mariano’s on Waukegan and Golf roads, is accused on Friday of taking out his gun and then shooting a round at a coworker following a heated argument in the store during after hours. Police believe there were no customers in the store during the incident.
Reschke’s intended target was not hit by the gunfire. Detectives said Reschke left the Mariano’s after firing the round and got in his car. He was found by police at his home and taken into custody .
A gun was recovered inside Reschke’s home.
Reschke could face additional charges, police said. He will remain in custody of the Glenview Police Department until he is transferred to the Cook County Jail.
