(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — You never know when you'll need one - but now you could be better prepared for what they're like. A Chicago man is sharing reviews of the bathrooms in Chicago parks.
Durable porcelain fixtures, easy to clean terra cotta tile and ornate windows are some of the things Al Scorch notices when he visits a park district bathroom.
“I was just raised to always be aware of the city, always be looking at the details, I always appreciate them, and so. And there's just something about a Park District bathroom that is so quintessential to a Chicago childhood,” Scorch said.
The musician from Irving Park is enjoying the responses he gets to his social media posts.
“So many people say, ‘Hey, that's my park,’ or, ‘Hey, I grew up going to that park.’”
Scorch is ready to post more than the four he's shared so far.
“I did Sherman Park down in West Englewood, Back of the yards. And then I got more in the can, as you say.”
