DES PLAINES, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A northwest suburban man has been arrested on child pornography and gun charges.
Jonathan Koziol, 39 was arrested at his home on Leahy Circle in Des Plaines on Tuesday. The Cook County Sheriff's Office said Koziol is a convicted felon, who allegedly shared sexually explicit images of children on a social media app.
Some of those children were infants. Bond was set at $500,000 for him. The sheriff's office said it had received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a social media account that had hundreds of pornographic pictures and videos of children.
Investigators determined that account belonged to Koziol.
