Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of the online adult content platform OnlyFans who grew up in the Chicago suburbs, has died at 43, the company said Monday.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” an OnlyFans spokesperson said.
Mr. Radvinsky was born in Ukraine, and his family moved to the Chicago area when he was a child. He attended Glenbrook South High School in Glenview. He graduated with an economics degree from Northwestern University in 2002.
OnlyFans was founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokley. The site is a subscription-based platform that lets creators produce explicit content and keep 80% of their earnings, with the company taking the other 20%.
In 2018, Mr. Radvinsky bought a majority stake in Fenix International Limited, which owns and operates OnlyFans. He was a director and majority shareholder of the company, which vastly evolved under his ownership, growing from hundreds of thousands of creators to about 4.5 million creators and more than 300 million users in 2025, according to the company.
Last year, Mr. Radvinsky was asking for up to $8 billion in discussions to sell OnlyFans.
Mr. Radvinsky also was an angel investor in other technology companies and, according to his company, supported philanthropic projects worldwide.
The graduate of Glenbrook South High School in Glenview and Northwestern University died of cancer, the company said Monday.
