CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two separate shootings were reported on a Chicago expressway overnight.
The first shooting happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-57 near I-94.
Illinois State Police said a vehicle was hit by gunfire, though no one was hurt.
About 30 minutes later, while troopers were investigating, another shooting happened in the northbound lanes of I-57 near Halsted.
In that instance, police said someone in a vehicle fired shots at another car before crashing and rolling over.
No injuries were reported there, but the occupants of the offending vehicle fled the scene.
