OSWEGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Widely circulated cellphone video is part of a police investigation into a fight that occurred on Sunday afternoon at a Portillo’s in Oswego.

The video, shot by an employee of the restaurant, is pretty shaky and only shows part of what happened outside the drive through window - a man, said to be 48-years old, has an 18-year-old employee pinned to the pavement.

In the video, the employee can be heard yelling for the customer to get off his hair. It also shows the customer with blood on his mouth.

Exactly what happened isn’t clear. The fight had already started before someone started recording on their cell phone.

According to Oswego police, officers were sent to the restaurant, located at 2810 U.S. Highway 34, right before noon Sunday for “a report of two males fighting outside of the drive-thru lane."

When police arrived, the 18-year-old employee was already being treated by paramedics, and was then taken to an area hospital. Officers “requested to interview the employee as soon as he is able.” Police said the 48-year-old customer went to the Oswego Police Department for an interview.

Police said Portillo’s provided the names of employees working at the time and are continuing to interview witnesses. Police also requested video surveillance or audio from Portillo’s, which they had not received.

The fight remains under investigation. Portillo’s officials said in a statement they are working with police in the ongoing investigation.

Investigators ask that anyone who witnessed the fight or who has additional information contact police at 630-551-7300.
