(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It’s still not clear when or if a popular bar in Logan Square will shutter after operating in the neighborhood for nearly 20 years.
Live entertainment is still scheduled at Weegee’s Lounge until at least Jan. 23 as confirmed by the vintage neighborhood bar on Instagram. Owner Alex Huebner has not yet personally responded to WBBM Newsradio to confirm an impending closure.
Weegee’s Lounge however has been rather cryptic on their social media as patrons flood the comments.
“Weegee’s tell us, are you leaving us” a patron commented on a post by Weegees Lounge leading up to last week’s New Year’s Eve bash, a few words included in that post, quote “our last NYE. Come while you can”.
Another direct question from a patron in the comments “is Weegee’s closing down” answered in one word by the page’s administrator “eventually”.
