
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago police are warning residents of recent purse robberies in Cragin on the Northwest Side.
In each incident, a man forcibly pulled a person’s purse from their shoulder, causing them to fall to the ground, Chicago police said in a community alert.
One robbery happened at 9:24 p.m. Oct. 18 in the 4800 block of West Henderson Street, police said. The other occurred at 3:05 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 4900 block of West School Street.
The man is believed to be between 18 and 22 years old and about 6 feet tall with a slim build, wearing all black clothing and a blue surgical mask, according to police.
