GURNEE, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Several teens were taken into custody and officers were injured after a huge fight broke out at Six Flags in Gurnee on Monday.
Gurnee Police received reports of the fight at 7:15 p.m. The fight started between two groups inside the park, near the front gates, and spread to the parking lot, according to witnesses.
Officers were already at the park and attempted to stop the fight, but were unsuccessful. Eventually, an officer used pepper spray to control the crowd.
Six teenagers from LaPorte, Indiana were arrested for assaulting patrons and officers. Four police officers sustained minor injuries during the incident.
