CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A South Bend man was sentenced to 28 years in prison on drug and gun charges.

Federal prosecutors said Bradley Burns, 33, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and having guns even though he was a convicted felon.

Investigators said he conspired with another person to transport meth between California and Indiana.

Prosecutors said the other person was stopped in Oklahoma during one of those trips and had over 100 pounds of meth as well as more than two pounds of heroin.

Investigators said that led to a search of Burns' home which found firearms, fentanyl and drug trafficking paraphernalia such as a money counter and a drug ledger.
