
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A Glenbard West High School student is accused of making a bomb threat against the school.
Glen Ellyn police learned of the threat around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, and the school buildings were cleared and searched before reopening at 2 p.m., officials said. No threat was found.
Police say they quickly zeroed in on a 17-year-old student and took them into custody later that evening. The unidentified student was charged with two counts of felony disorderly conduct and taken to the Kane County Juvenile Detention Center.
Wednesday’s incident marked the second bomb threat made against the school in less than two weeks. The other threat occurred April 27.
