(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A minor league affiliate of the White Sox is beefing up its menu offerings.

President and General Manager Brian DeAngelis of the Winston-Salem Dash says on July 19, the High A Club will become the Winston-Salem Italian Beef as part of a game that will pay tribute to all things Chicago.

DeAngelis says the idea for the one-game rebrand came from a lunch of Portillo’s Italian Beef.

“That's when we started getting creative with the art on the Italian beef rebrand and had a little fun with, you know, the bull that you can see there and the stamp on the Jersey and all that. That's how it came together. So, overall we couldn't be more excited.”

In addition to having Italian Beef sandwiches on hand, DeAngelis says they'll also have some contests and specials during the special game.

The merch will be available to buy on the Winston-Salem Dash website.
