The bleachers at Stevenson High School in north suburban Lincolnshire were packed on Monday morning with thousands of Bears fans who got free tickets to see a walk-through practice under sunny skies.
Angela Peterson from Palatine was one of the very first in line, telling WBBM, "it's just the chance to get to see them up close and personal than we normally would at a game, because you're kind of far away, so it's really neat to be this intimate."
Ryan Vann is from Lincolnshire and said the practice was practically in his backyard so he "had to be there."
Bears Chairman George McCaskey was at the Bears practice at Stevenson High School and told WBBM the team remains in a "holding pattern" regarding their stadium plans but will have something to say later this week.
