CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two boys were arrested on the South Side for carjacking and face several others charges as well.
Both suspects are 17 years old and were arrested on Monday morning in the 800 block of East 76th Street, according to a news release. They took a vehicle at gunpoint from a 35-year-old male in the 7800 block of South Carpenter Street, police said.
Officers observed the stolen vehicle in traffic with the boys inside. They stopped the vehicle and the offenders were taken into custody and found weapons and narcotics in the vehicle.
The pair was charged accordingly. No additional information is available at this time.
