(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — With cleanup well underway, U-Haul is offering a place for people affected by the west suburban tornado to store their belongings.
The company is offering 30 days of free rent at three of its storage facilities.
Angela Farley, president of the company’s west suburban division, said they’ve already started to hear from some people whose homes were damaged.
They will operate on the honor system and will work with disaster victims who need longer-term help as they attempt to repair their homes.
The offer is good for space at U-Haul’s storage facilities in the Fox Valley; Bolingbrook and the border of Plainfield and Naperville. Tornado claimants could also get a U-Haul portable container.
