GARY, Ind. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police recovered an ambulance shortly after it was stolen from a hospital in Gary Saturday night.
Paramedics told police someone took the ambulance from the emergency room entrance of Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus at around 7:34 p.m.
The NWI Times said it happened while the paramedics were inside with a patient.
Gary police put out an alert and about 10 minutes later, police in Griffith found the ambulance in a Walgreens parking lot about six and a half miles away and arrested a 44-year-old Dyer woman who was inside.
