Don’t worry, “Saved By The Bell” fans, Dustin Diamond is alive and well!
It turns out the bogus report was a parody piece, claiming one of Diamond’s “failed stand-up comedy gig” led to a violent quarrel… landing Diamond, known for playing Samuel “Screech” Powers in the 1990s NBC comedy, in prison for a 15-year sentence… where he was then “tragically struck down.”
But, the whole thing is a hoax!
“Reuters” has confirmed that the story came from the satire site “Ringsssss.”
While Diamond has had trouble with the law within the last decade, he’s not currently in prison.
He is also very much so alive!
