ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Although the first snow of winter means nightmares for a lot of motorists in the greater St. Louis area, it makes for the perfect day to take your penguins out and enjoy the weather.

A new video from the Saint Louis Zoo is going viral, showing eight penguins taking a walk through the park facilities on Wednesday, which probably felt a lot more like home with snow covering the ground.

"Saint Louis Zoo's king penguins Ethel and Elliot, along with gentoo penguins CJ, Oshie, Linus, Sunny, Double, and Trouble, took a quick field trip in the snow to visit their neighbors, polar bear Kali and grizzly bears Huck and Finley," the Zoo said.

The Zoo says it doesn't often get to take animals out of their enclosures, but these "spontaneous winter walks are enriching for the birds."
