As states attempt to keep COVID-19 cases down, police were called to the scene of a house party involving 20 Miami University of Ohio students over Labor Day weekend. The current capacity allows for gatherings of no more than 10 people, per CBS News.
According to WCPO, six students -- five who live in the house and one visitor -- received citations of $500 for violating COVID-19 health orders.
One of the students cited reportedly admitted to police that he knew he was breaking the state's rule against gatherings of more than ten people.
When police ran his ID, they realized that he was diagnosed with COVID-19 just a week earlier.
