Everyone’s looking for some closure.

Years after crimes against her, actress Rachel Bilson got the opportunity to speak with two members of the Hollywood theft crew, dubbed “The Bling Ring,” sisters Gabby Neiers and Alexis Haines. The conversation took place on the most recent episode of Bilson’s podcast, “Broad Ideas.”

From 2008-9, the robbery group broke into and stole items from a number of Hollywood’s elite. In 2009, Haines was arrested for the crimes.

“It’s been a long time since this went down,” Bilson started off the episode saying. “To be grown up and actually have real conversations is more important than harboring any awkwardness, animosity, any negative feelings that might come along with it.”

The sisters were featured last month in the Netflix documentary, “The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist.” Fictionalized versions of the two also appeared in Sofia Coppola’s 2013 film “The Bling Ring.”

The “Ring” took designer bags and clothes from Bilson’s residence, but they also nabbed an engagement ring that had belonged to Bilson’s mother.

“I’m grateful that you’re allowing me to be here to (apologize) to you face-to-face,” Neiers told Bilson. “I am so sorry that I ever made the choice to go into your home that night. I wish that I could take it back. It’s been a living nightmare for you for the past 10 years. As a mother now, all you want to do is protect your babies, and I know that I stripped you of feeling safe in your home, and I am so sorry.”

Bilson was accepting of the apology.

“You obviously have remorse. I let the actual incidents go so long ago. It’s so important for you, and as a mother, that you fully let go because now you are that little girl. You have your little girl,” Bilson responded.

Further on in the episode Bilson asked Neiers about what she remembered from the night she broke into her home (Neiers was 15 at the time).

“I was pushed through a kitchen window and opened the front door,” she remembered. “I woke up the next morning in my own home, and I had four duffle bags of jeans and I sobered up and realized what happened.”

Neiers then said after the reality of her actions and ongoing substance abuse issues sunk in she distanced herself from the rest of the “Bling Ring.”

A Los Angeles County grand jury indicted six members of the “Bling Ring” in 2010. They had robbed the likes of Bilson, Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton.
