
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Tuesday released photos of a suspect who allegedly stabbed a teen boy in the chest in a Manhattan park over the weekend.
At approximately 5 p.m., the 14-year-old boy was inside Elizabeth Berger Plaza just a block away from Battery Park in the Financial District when he was approached by the suspect who engaged him in a verbal dispute, officials said.
As the dispute escalated, the suspect punched the victim in the face and proceeded to display a knife.

The suspect then stabbed the victim to the chest before fleeing the location westbound on Greenwich Street on a bicycle.
EMS transported the teen to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
A investigation remains ongoing.
