Boy, 15, fatally shot inside Upper Manhattan park, gunman sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for the gunman who fatally shot a 15-year-old boy inside an Upper Manhattan park on Saturday night.

The shooting happened inside Riverbank State Park, near 145th Street and Riverside Drive, at 6:45 p.m., the NYPD said.

The teen was repeatedly shot throughout the body, officials said.

He was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
