VIDEO: Man spat on, stabbed inside Manhattan subway station attack, suspect sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released video footage on Wednesday of a man sought for spitting on and then slashing a man at a Lower Manhattan subway station in an apparent random attack, authorities said.

Just after 4 a.m. on Monday, June 20, a 29-year-old man was at the turnstile area inside the Bowling Green subway station, when the suspect approached him, spat on him and yelled profanities.

The suspect then slashed the victim on his right arm with a sharp object and fled on foot towards the northbound platform.

The victim was removed to an area hospital for his injuries in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a man, approximately 45 years of age, medium build and last seen wearing a gray jacket and white jacket, green hat and carrying a black book bag.
