NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a trio wanted for robbing a smoke shop employee at gunpoint on the Lower East Side earlier this month, authorities said.
The robbery happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday October 1, when three men entered Allen Convenience Exotic Smoke located at 99 Allen Street, officials said.
According to police, the suspects approached a 23-year-old employee and demanded cash after one suspect displayed a firearm.
The suspects removed $1,500 before fleeing westbound on Eldrige Street, cops said.
