(WWJ) -- New dashcam footage shows the intense chase between Macomb County police and a murder suspect that ended in an arrest earlier this week.
Kamauri Siede Kennedy, 32, was wanted by the U.S. Marshal's Service in connection with the murder of a woman in North Dakota earlier this summer.
After receiving a tip that Kennedy was living in Detroit, the suspect's vehicle was identified by police near Groesbeck and Cass in Mt. Clemens with Kennedy and another person inside.
Authorities attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect fled, leading to a high-speed chase that stretched several miles through Macomb County.

Video of the chase was released via the Macomb County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, and shows multiple police vehicles chasing down Kennedy's van before employing a pit maneuver to bring the situation to an end.
Both Kennedy and the passenger were then arrested and taken into custody.
Kennedy is accused of killing Dominque Campbell, who was reportedly his girlfriend, back in early June in Minot, North Dakota. The body of Kelly was found in a burning car and authorities suspect Kennedy also set fire to the home where they lived.

Aaron Garcia, with the U.S. Marshals Office, tells WWJ they had been keeping an eye on Kennedy after recently receiving a tip that he was living on Detroit's east side.
He says U.S. Marshals contacted the Macomb County Sheriff's Office and Clinton Township Police Department and told them to initiate the traffic stop prior to the chase.
Kennedy had also reportedly been on federal probation for charges related to a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Atlanta, Ga., in 2013.
He was allowed to return to Michigan after a prison sentence, but Garcia says he absconded parole in the Detroit area last year.
