After nine long months, high school football in Louisiana is back!
The 2025 campaign begins with several high profile matchups, including a Westbank battle between Division I-Select state champion Edna Karr and Division II-Select state champion Archbishop Shaw. The season will also feature familiar faces in new places, as a number of coaches left the jobs they had last year (or, in some cases, were pushed out of those jobs) and have landed in new locations.
In addition to previewing this week's big games and storylines, we sit down with Louisiana High School Athletic Association executive director Eddie Bonine to check on the state of the organization and to find out what's next for the LHSAA with regards to the select/non-select split, the Louisiana Legislature's recent hearings about the group's operations, and other pressing matters.
