2 men accused of abducting, robbing woman in the Bronx sought by NYPD

NEW YORK ( 1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for two men accused of abducting and robbing woman at gunpoint in the BronxOn Nov. 19, at approximately 4:30, police say a 30-year-old woman entered a black SUV on the corner of Unionport Road and Metropolitan Oval, where she encountered a known male acquaintance and a second unidentified man.

While inside of the vehicle, the man known to the victim brandished a firearm and removed the victim's cell phones and then tied her hands and feet with zipties, police say.


The unidentified man drove the SUV to a Boost Mobile store in Yonkers to try to unlock the phone, according to officials at which time the victim was able to flee from the car and call for help.

According to the New York Post, the victim was a transgender prostitute and the man was seeking to obtain texts from her phone between his wife and her, but couldn't access them, sources said.

The men fled the location in unknown direction and remain at large.

The victim sustained a laceration to her knee and hands but did not require medical attention.Police urge anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
