4 wounded in Brooklyn shooting, police search for gunman

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police say four people were shot while standing at a candleight vigil in Brooklyn on Monday morning.

Shots rang out just before 2 a.m. injuring two men and two women near the corner of Sterling Place and Buffalo Avenue in Crown Heights, police said.

Authorities say a 33-year-old man was shot in the chest, a 24-year-old man was shot in the leg, and two women in their 40's were struck in the lower back and the other in her leg.Police say all four victims were taken to area hospitals, where two are being treated for serious injuries.The NYPD believes at least one of the four people shot was the intended target.

Police are still searching for the gunman.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
