NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released video surveillance late Thursday of a man wanted for the assault of an 80-year-old man in the Bronx.
On December 5, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the victim was placing bottles and cans into recycling machines at a Food Bazaar supermarket, located at 445 East 163 Street in the Morrisania section.
The suspect was waiting to use the machines when he engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim.
The dispute escalated and the suspect pushed the victim to the ground, causing a fight to ensue.
He then punched the victim causing a laceration to his face, police say.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
Police describe the suspect as a male, wearing a gray sneakers, a brown jacket, brown pants, and a multi colored skull cap.Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
