
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A father and son duo were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection to an ATM robbery outside of a Lower East Side bodega, the New York Post reports.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., officials said 45-year-old Edward Allen and 72-year-old James Allen were seen by NYPD’s Grand Larceny Division allegedly removing an ATM located at 76 Clinton Street near Rivington Street.
The duo got into a blue Ford van and fled north on the FDR Drive, but were eventually captured at 447 East 52nd Street, police said.
The report adds that the suspects sideswiped a police car during the chase.

Both men face grand larceny, assault on a police officer, obstruction govt admin criminal possession stolen property criminal mischief charges.
The ATM was recovered, police said.
Authorities are investigating whether the suspects are connected to over a half dozen other ATM thefts in Lower Manhattan in the last month..
