NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —New York City politicians gathered on the High Line park Tuesday morning to open up the Spur, the last section off the original High Line structure to be converted into parkland.
The Spur is the widest area of the High Line and has a large public plaza.
City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver all attended.
The High Line opened its first segment in 2009, followed by extensions in 2011 and 2014.
