NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was shot in the arm by police in East New York, Brooklyn early Thursday night.
"There has been a police involved shooting in the area of Van Siclen Ave & New Lots Ave in Brooklyn in the confines of the @NYPD75Pct. Expect a police presence in the area," the NYPD tweeted at 6:45 p.m.
The shooting happened near the intersection between Vam Siclen and New Lots Avenues.
No officers were injured.
The man, whose condition is unknown, was transported to a hospital.
The circumstances which led to the shooting remains unknown.
