Police seek gunman who fired shots at pregnant woman in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released a sketch Thursday of a man wanted for shooting a pregnant woman in Queens.

Officials say on Jan. 25, at approximately 8 p.m., a 31-year-old woman seated inside a vehicle located at 145th Drive and 181st Street in the Springfield Gardens section.

The suspect walked up to the woman and fired several shots at her, according to police.

She was struck twice in her hands and wrist and then taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious but stable condition.

Authorities said the suspect entered a vehicle and fled westbound on 145th road.

Police describe the suspect as a Black man, approximately 25 years old, 5'8", 160 lbs. and wore a green hooded sweater.
