NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 77-year-old man was killed and several people, including two firefighters, were injured in a fire at a Queens home Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after 5 a.m. on 55th Avenue, near 90th Street, in Elmhurst, police said.
Citizen App video shows fire and smoke pouring from the two-story home at daybreak as firefighters filled the street outside.
Police said Paul Agopian, 77, was killed in the fire before it was brought under control at 6:30 a.m.
Four other people suffered minor injuries in the fire; two of those injured were firefighters, police said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
