NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A driver returned to his vehicle in Queens this week to find it submerged in piles of trash.
The white SUV is barely visible under the dozens of black garbage bags in video posted to Instagram by @718chucho Thursday.
In the video, a man talking on a cell phone can be seen by the open driver's side door.
Another man narrating the video from across the street says he bets the driver of the vehicle is pretty mad.
"But he had no business parking there, though. I don't care how late it was," the man in the video says.
The incredible scene naturally led to a discussion about the amount of trash—and the lack of parking—in the city.
"Pro tip (if you haven't known this already). NEVER PARK NEXT TO GARBAGE or next to a spot you know they put garbage," one commenter wrote.
It's unclear who put the trash bags on the vehicle, though commenters on the Instagram post think it may have been residents of the building.
The Department of Sanitation hasn't commented.
