MOUNT VERNON (1010 WINS) -- A single-car crash in Westchester left three young people from the Bronx dead on Friday morning, police said.
A blue Toyota crashed on the Cross County Parkway in Mount Vernon shortly before 2:30 a.m., according to Westchester County police.
The car crashed in the center, eastbound lane of the parkway, near the Hutchinson River Parkway.
Three passengers in the vehicle--two men, ages 24 and 22, and a 16-year-old girl--were killed, according to police.
The girl was found inside the wreckage and the two men were found outside the vehicle, police said.
The three victims are believed to be from the Bronx. They have not been identified.
A 21-year-old Bronx man who was driving the vehicle suffered a minor injury to his hand, police said. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center to be treated.
It's unclear what may have led to the deadly crash. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
