NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Just one day after Rudy Giuliani said that his appearance in Sacha Baron Cohen's new "Borat" movie is "completely fabricated," Cohen -- in character as the film's fictitious journalist -- released on Thursday night a video to "defend" the former New York City mayor.
As 1010 WINS previously reported, the scene in the Amazon Studios film "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" in question includes Giuliani, 76, lying on a bed, tucking in his shirt with his hand down his pants and the woman nearby. This is after the woman -- a 24-year-old actress playing Borat's daughter -- flirts with Donald Trump's lawyer and former New York City mayor, and invites him in the bedroom.
On Thursday, Borat's Twitter account shared a video along with the caption "OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM BORAT SAGDIYEV."
"I here to defend America's mayor Rudolph Giuliani," Borat says in a faux Kazakhstani accent. "What was an innocent sexy-time encounter between a consenting man and my 15-year-old daughter have been turned into something disgusting by fake news media. I warn you: anyone else try this, and Rudolph will not hesitate to reach into his legal briefs and whip out his supenis."
The film was released on Thursday, one day ahead of its planned release.
Giuliani did speak out himself, though, tweeting on Wednesday, "The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar."
